Edge banding EVA hot melt adhesive testing

The performance of EVA hot-melt edge sealing does not only refer to its viscosity. We need to do tensile test. GC EVA hot melt glue features strong initial viscosity, good wood breaking test, and high final peel strength.
High and low temperature cycling test: put it in an 85°C oven for 2 hours, and take it out. After that, put it in a -20°C freezer for 2 hours. Repeat the same test for five times. After the cycle test. GC EVA hot melt adhesive proves: the edge band does not fall off, and there is no abnormality.

Advantage of using EVA hot melt glue in edge banding

Usage in furniture panel edge banding
Pour hot melt adhesive EVA granular into the furnace. Melt it into a viscous fluid at high temperature. Spread it evenly on the cutting surface of the wood-based panel. Then with machine, press edge band to the cutting surface of the glued wood-based panel. Form a certain tensile rubber nail on the wood-based panel. The adhesive bonding is generated. Get a perfect combination of wood-based panel and edge banding finally.

Why choose EVA hot melt adhesive for edge banding
EVA hot melt adhesive has a low melting point, and a softening temperature between 70 and 90℃. It has fast bonding and high bonding strength. It is easier to meet the requirements of adhesives for PVC edge sealing or other types.
EVA type hot melt adhesive has good adhesion to a variety of materials. It has good flexibility and low temperature resistance. The EVA raw materials are abundant and the price is low. Therefore, EVA type hot melt adhesive is widely used in the production process of panel furniture.
